Node - WebKit icons

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Thu Sep 11, 2014 4:31 pm

@ashley

Because when it's export in "node webkit" construct-2 ( Windows PC, MACOSx, LINUX 32 y 64 bits ) instead of putting the default icon that puts the icon that we partner in the project, it would be more convenient since otherwise we have to use external tools to modify the game icon.
Do not know if it's an easy task by the development team.

i dont see why this is a problem.... i think triying to change the node-webkit code probably will cause more problems... for something that can be changed with ResHacker, a software really easy to use and 100% FREE in 5 seconds

yeah definitely would be a good feature but I'll have to say that it should be a fairly low priority

@Lunatrap
For Windows PC format is easy but is cumbersome,
But if you have to be doing for MAC which is my case, copy the MAC changes the format for the new icon to the right size, etc.
Linux and to take the appropriate size.

All I'm saying is that when exporting to Node-WebKit you can choose the icon you will have the game, instead of the default icon that comes with Construct 2

It would be an added value software Construct 2

I think this is actually a feature that seems simple to add (maybe just a little configuration of Node-Webkit upon export), so I think adding it to the software would be nice (and that is still something less to do after exporting)
Game design is all about decomposing the core of your game so it becomes simple instructions.
