NWjs doesn't notice the gamepad even if windows does.

So I'm just checking if anyone's run into this problem. About 10 % of PCs playing my game doesn't register the gamepad, even if Windows reads it just fine. It's a 360 controller. Doesn't matter what button's pressed. Any tips of guranteeing the gamepad will work?

What NW.js are you using? I had the same problem with NW10.5 but now on NW14 it works like a charm again :)

Before the controller had to be connected before the game was started otherwise it would never be recognized but now with later versions of NW it doesn't matter and you can connect it whenever you want.

Ew. It's almost 2017 man full gamepad support should be a given by now.

Anyway I haven't heard of this problem until now. Maybe something to do with drivers?

Like @Anonnymitet said, I don't have any problems with gamepads after NWJS update to 14.0

This was reported on NWjs 14 so that's definately strange.

Have you asked your tester if the gamepad registers in browsers? (registering in windows does not mean much, a lot of stuff that runs in windows seems to be ignored by the browser gamepad API).

Note: DirectX have to be installed on the client computer if you want the gamepad works with nw.js (from dxwebsetpup.exe in the exported folder)
