You have to kill then end boss from above, press space to zoom out if not already (I've not automated the zoom yet) climb the ladders at either end then do the jump/crouch attack on his head, with luck you'll bounce high enough to get back on a platform.

Here's progress - working on improved movement and zoom

Click image to play. No boss or enemies yet, doing the whole thing from scratch to allow for more scope with mechanics, the old events were somewhat overcomplicated.

Updated link, now has swimming!

Also added health and damage back in, but no death as yet.

Walk under the dripping green goo, lose health, jump in water, gain health.

Turtle now adjusts to angled walkways also.JohnnySix2012-07-25 02:20:20

Levels are getting quite big now!

So far still have to add back enemies, power ups and the like.

You can do the zapping move up and down now, just hit jump/crouch while in air to get an extra boost.

Version Alpha 10

Adding in Toxic waste, not sure whether to make it a power-up or just deco.

Here's an overview of level 1

Keeps getting better and better! Aren't turtles faster in water than on land? ;) Swimming felt a bit sluggish to me relative to the other action.

Toxic waste powerups sounds pretty sweet - perhaps they would make the turtle turn glowing green and cause AOE damage to enemies while he's kung-fu-fighting them?

Haha - good point! I will give him a little more speed in water maybe. Going to see if I can add currents/water flow into it somehow, a bit like the water zones in Sonic.

Did you get the turtle airborn?

That's some awesome stuff right here..
The camera is great but have you thought about having it so that whatever parameters you are currently using to set the ScrollX/Y, you could instead use those parameters to set target variables "TargetX/Y" and have other events to make the ScrollX/Y itself move smoothly towards the targetx/y.
just a thought to make the movement smoother.

also a few questions :p

Where do I find pixel webfonts!? or did you host your own?

Are you using platform behaviour or are you using your own collision detection?

When the character rotates to stand correctly on slopes, is that done with a variable attached to the slope or is there some sort of detector that works automatically for any surface? <(I tried doing this in The games factory years ago but utterly failed)

I am using this awesome plug-in by user Mipey here :

I make my own fonts strips though - the font is a free font call Bienvenu

Find it here : http://www.dafont.com/bienvenu.font

Play to level 2, there's a monkey robot that follows you.

Am looking forward to getting the next version of Spriter to have a go at maybe doing something a little more complex for the enemies - but for the moment, it's a pair of legs that spawns a body, so the legs adjust to the angle of the ground while the body stays horizontal.

It's smart enough to jump most objects, but can't swim or detect holes yet. :D

PLAY V11 HERE
