Play to level 2, there's a monkey robot that follows you.

Am looking forward to getting the next version of Spriter to have a go at maybe doing something a little more complex for the enemies - but for the moment, it's a pair of legs that spawns a body, so the legs adjust to the angle of the ground while the body stays horizontal.

It's smart enough to jump most objects, but can't swim or detect holes yet. :D

PLAY V11 HERE

Really neat. My suggestion would be to have a slide down slopes action, like in Super Mario where you could slide in ramps.
Theres a "bug" where you can jump on the water surface infinitelly.

I fixed the indefinite water jumping bug, but I need to fix the monkey now.

Will post an update soon, thanks for giving it a whirl!

Out of curiosity, how did you make the character walk on inclined angles? ;]

I uploaded an example to the arcade, there's probably many different ways, and perhaps someday it maybe natively supported (which'd sure be nice!) , but this is my cheap and dirty trick.

It involves changing the collision width of the 'placeholder' platformer object but works mostly.

Thanks a lot for the example @JohnnySix, helped me a lot.
Maybe this could go to the FAQ ;]

@johnnysix thanks so much for posting that example, everything works great, but say you wanted to give that square a gun, and have him shoot a bullet properly while on the ramp... Well you don't actually have to give him a gun, but have him just spawn a bullet and have it fly in the right angle.... Could you maybe show me how to do that? Because its not working properly in my game, sorry, thanks!Kid4lynn2012-08-03 08:58:29

Hey @Kid4lynn, Ive made a quick example to show you how to achieve angled shoots. ;] Its in the end of the events made by Johnny. Press space to see it in effect.

Once I get the monkey robot working properly with bullets ( not made the sprites/animations yet) - I'll throw up a demo capx - the monkey walks on sloped floors but the body stays straight, if anyone got to the monkey part. :)
