@ashley

i know this has been discussed for IOS/IPAD but im still seeing it as an issue for the following browser combos (im on r227)
MountainLion 6.2
mavericks 7.1
yosemite 8

works great on El Capitan 9.1

but the others are ignoring the "end of audio" trigger

is this as expected ? ... is there a fix/workaround for this?

thanks for the help!

IIRC, there was a Safari bug in Safari 8 that we worked around, but the underlying issue was fixed in Safari 9. So I guess anything using Safari 7 or older still won't trigger "on ended" properly. I don't think there is anything we can reasonably do about this, it's best to keep your system up to date.

@ashley I am also running into the same issue when using "audioOnEnded" on Safari which currently break our games in both Yosemite and Maverikcks .

As our users would not be able to upgrade to the new OS, can you recommend or suggest a work around to this bug, or if possible a new method of triggering a sound after another sequentially without having to rely on "audioOnEnded" or timers. This will be very appreciated by the community as it seems to affect a large number of players still on these mac OS's.

I don't think it's reasonable for us to try to work around bugs/missing features on old unsupported browsers with a small and falling usage share.

There's always Chrome and Firefox which are both available for OS X too.
