I suppose it's a bug...

What is your PC (CPU, RAM...) ? You have direct X 9 ?

You can double jump but it's not normal you have to.

Strange. I can't get over that first jump either - unless of course I alter the .cap. Using latest 0.99.97 build.

The double jump is easy to do,When the character is halfway in the air then yo press the jump button again.Timing is crucial.

If I change the event:
+ MouseKeyboard: On key Num pad 1 pressed
+ HeroCol: Value 'DoubleJump' Greater than 0
-> HeroCol: Jump
-> HeroCol: Subtract 1 from 'DoubleJump'
-> XAudio2: Autoplay file AppPath & "xJump.wav" (No loop) at HeroCol

i.e. from up arrow to Numpad1, then pressing up arrow quickly followed by numpad1 works and a double jump is performed.

I reckon it's a keyboard thing. Altering repeat delay etc doesn't appear to help. I might try a different keyboard.

Looks like a nice game :)

However, all the blur effects on the backgrounds makes it unresponsive and slow on my work pc (core i3@2.93ghZ + geforce 310). It runs fine if i remove them, so maybe you could preblur them?

I dug this. Nice little puzzle arcade jump-orientated platformer. Only suggestion would be to make wasd keys available for movement, as using the arrow keys with the mouse feels a little awkward.

The game runs fine on my old pc (1.6Ghz pc + geforce 8800 gt).Winxp seems to run some games faster than win7 does.

I'm ot sure about XP and win7, but i wouldn't be surprised:) The fact is that the geforce 310 on this PC is complete crap... I'm glad it's not mine :)

Your artwork kicks ten kinds of ass, trying the game out now :)

Edit:
It didn't really get hard until level 4, then it got pretty hard pretty fast. Well, that is to say I didn't die until I got to level 4 and then I started dying A LOT :P.

I think this game would benefit a lot from WASD controls too, arrows and mouse just feels awkward to me. Perhaps you could offer both control schemes?

Anyway good job so far!

Alpha demo 1.1 released (http://one-eye-shooter.blogspot.com/).

The game is easier, everybody can unlock the 7 levels and I fixed the blur effect.

Thx a lot for your tests, help and reports.

I don't know how to make custom controls (to allow arrows + WASD + ZQSD controls), I don't understand how the input system plugin works.
