Probably because each of these are new, seperate elements in the event sheet, and C2 counts those too.

You can create a sprite with an empty animation, set it global and set a variable to it. Now you just need to place it on to every layer.

For the groups, essentially bigger projects needs them, witch are exceeding the 100 event limit in the free version.

This is kind of splitting hairs, but in the editor an "event" is actually any row in the event sheet, which includes everything you can add to an event sheet (variables, groups, etc). Actual events with conditions and actions are called "event blocks". Really these are just the internal names though - usually people refer to event blocks as just events.

I got another question. How come when you reset a level/layout it dose not reset objects unique ID count? This seem to be a tiny bug.
