I'm trying to follow most of the graphical restrictions, and using the NES palette is the one I'm mostly true to, and is also pretty fun to work with

I recommend making it so you can't see the black borders around the map.

What do you use to get an authentic NES palette?

I've been trying to figure out (thinking it over repeatedly in my head) how to do RTS style controlling. Impressive, but I'm a bit confused by the train in the opening (although the idea of a steam punk style TD with trains coming up various tracks to attack yer base, sounds rather neat when you think about it).
