Overlapping a "Collision Disabled Object"

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sun Apr 12, 2015 10:35 pm

Hello Community,

I really tried out everything, but i don't get it:

Square - Collision on
Circle - Collision off
Triangle - Collision off

I've made a sensor, what is following the Players direction. When the sensor is on collision with the square, i can pick it up by pressing "Space" and move around.
I would like to move around the Circle and Triangle too, but without turning on the collision of them.

Is this possible?

I hope someone can help me :)

What is the reason for turning off collisions?
It's kinda impossible to detect something that doesn't exist..
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..

My character should only be able to jump on to a square shape, the other shapes like circles & triangles shouldn't have any collision... they should be simple textures & you should be able to walk through them but still carry them around. Is that somehow possible?

It sounds like you are confusing collisions with an object that has a solid behavior.

I think you are confusing turning on collisions with solid behaviour.
Collision is only for detection-purposes, without solid behaviour the character will go right through..

Thanks for the ninjaaaaing @producermark11
