I have a project on my hands that requires a new plugin that will do exactly what the webcam "User media" function does. At the moment, the user media function only works on android and HTML5. But not all android devices support and iOS 7 does not support at all. PM me if you're capable of developing such a plugin and can complete it before the end of the month.

Please PM me asap and respond as quick as possible as I'm on a tight schedule. Thanks!

In safari browser? That's impossible!

Doesn't have to be Safari. But even with Chrome in iOS it didn't work.

I think you misunderstand, Chrome in iOS isn't real chrome because it's based from Safari Core which is part of the rules to develop browser by Apple.

No custom browsers are allowed without safari core in iOS, there an exception, you can upload a picture using Filechooser, there are 2 options: take a photo from webcam or image library.

For example: This is possible using Filechooser

I don't think real time webcam would work in iOS browser until a wrapper app or native app.

So in other words, a plugin from phonegap or cocoonJS needs to be created for it to work.

You need to choose one to Phonegap or CocoonJS, I don't think it would work with 2 platforms because API is different.

I Had a try before and just now and this plugin only seems to be capturing photos from the camera source whereas I'm trying to get a live feed to act as a background.

Maybe announce how much you would pay. I'm willing to add a little bit on that sum for a simple, working option in iOS or CocoonJS.
I'm willing to add 50$
