Pathfinding (strategy game)

Get help using Construct 2

I am currently creating a isometric strategy game. While everything works great so far I am stuck with the pathfinding for my units.

I am aware of the Pathfinding Behavior by Kyatric (can't post a link) but I don't use grids. I could place all my static objects (buildings, nature etc.) in a grid but I don't think that would be a good idea for my units. The game would appear very static (imho).

It would be great if I could still place my objects without a grid or use a Age of Empires like Behavior (objects in grid, units don't).

So, I am searchung for any idea, clue and tip on how to accomplish this.
