Picking Question

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 3:02 pm

I seem to have misunderstood the picking concept...

I thought, that useing the structure seen above would iterate through all "Spawner" instances and set the time differen for each instance. As it looks like, this is not true and the changes are applied to the whole class.

Where am I going wrong?

I guess the function forget the picking but without seeing the function I can't really say.
Also I never used the TimeLine plugin so I don't really know what it does and how to use it.

It's hard to say because the function/timeline objects are third-party plugins not designed by Scirra, so you'd be best off asking the developers themselves. If you make an example just using the official objects though I can tell you exactly what is happening.

could it be that you are using the timeline instead of the timer behavior, the timer behavior can be used for multiple instances, timeline is making only one timer with a certain name, so you are propably just overwriting the same one
