An educational game for counting pictures. An easy to use template for developers to build larger games
  • A work in progress of a game I'm making.Similar to my other game called slider, but with pictures instead of number tiles. There are six pictures at the moment chosen at random.

  • That's a really decent game! I'd personally - and I'm sure others would also - be interested in seeing how you did it, if you'd be willing to open source it.

  • Try Construct 3

Could probably do with commenting .Tell me what you think. The code for cutting up the image was taught to me by Lucid and I give him credit for that.Shows a 52 year old can still learn new tricks

  • Just goes to show you are never too old to make games!

    Awesome

*Please* add a counter that tracks how many times you have clicked the tiles.

I'm usually pretty bad at these games but I just finished one of the puzzles with very few "clicks" and I can't brag about it...

  • I am having a problem running this in 0.99.3 it crashes before it starts. Can anyone else run this in 0.99.3 ?

  • I ran it in 0.99.3 without a problem, how strange.

A few things about the way it's written, if you were looking for some feedback . You don't need to bundle some of the images with it, like the button ones. The eventing seems very well done; the polish could come from a counter for clicks, and variable sized pictures, if you wanted to complete it.

  • Nice game, really well done. I also get a crash trying to run the .cap though. The debugger says:

"A crash inside the runtime has been intercepted"

  • Wow nice work. I suck at these games however . You could polish this up to be a user editable game, with varied map sizes and such. Also, I find the window is too big for a light app like this. Maybe make it so the solution fades in front of the main puzzle when you hold a key, allowing you to cut the window size in half.

yeah I got that crash too.

Yes That what I get to. The .EXE works fine for me but the CAP load fine but crashes with "A crash inside the runtime has been intercepted"

So this is what I have

    Running Construct 0.99.3

Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3

    Intel Pentium 4 2.80GHz, 512MB Ram

    Device name: NVIDIA GeForce 6600

    Pixel shader: 3

    Estimated VRAM: 359 MB

    Motion blur: Yes

  • Did any one find out why some of us crash using westray CAP and other don't?

  • I get the crash in 99.3 as well (it runs fine in 98.9). I tracked it down to this one action:

    <img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/2podxy1.png">

If I toggle that action off, it runs. Which is weird because the exact same action for the "original" sprite in event 1 works just fine.

Anyone who's getting the crash care to confirm it?
