Platformer pushing the player around!

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Fri Oct 21, 2011 3:06 am

Hi guys! Me again!

Here's my problem : I'm using the platformer controller for a platform game. I want to if an enemy hit my player I wanna push him around on the X axis for lets say a couples of pixels foward!

I really don't know how to do that(dont worry i know how to test for the collision!)

I've tried the move forward on collision, but it's only make my player appear at the desired bumped distance!!!

Any help is really appreciated!

Hi,

Try PLatform Vector X ! it's good for bumping

Here is a basic use of Vector X on collission !

Also if you want to bounce on Y axis don't forget it is reverse which means to bounce up you need a negative number.

Thanks for the tip and the example! But pretty weird in my game it's not working!!!

It push the player forward but not the amount of pixel i've put in there! At least you've pointed to me into the right direction!

Thank you!
