Player facing variable. Why does this not work?

Get help using Construct 2

This seems simple, what's not right about it?
I want the variable to change based on which direction the player was moving last, not on a button press.

Am I using the wrong condition?
It doesn't allow me to check vector x, or I would try that.

You can use 'system: compare two variables' to check vector x.

I'm not sure platform has negative speed. You could check if vectorx < 0
