Playing a previously stopped sound

Get help using Construct 2

Hi All,

Just curious to know if there is a way you can play a previously stopped sound by using only the tag. For example, when I play the "soundA" file for the first time and give it the tag "a", is there a way to "Stop: Audio -> 'Tag A' " then "Start: Audio -> 'Tag A' "?

If there is a solution to this in another forum post, please let me know. Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply, kbdmaster . I did go through the link, but maybe I'm missing something. I was hoping that "Audio: Play (by name)" would have the same interface as "Audio: Stop", where only a tag field is needed.

I'm not sure how to start a stopped sound using "Audio: Play (by name)" when it is asking for:

Folder
Audio file name
Looping
Tag (Optional)

Hey hp,

Once a sound is stopped you can forget about it.

When you want to play the sound again just call on it using the regular "play sound" action. The play by name is fine too but you have to manually enter the details.GenkiGenga2012-10-14 00:55:38
