Whoa, this single plugin will enable people to make strategy games much better.

Great work lad. I'll try it in my own game that I'm working on and tell you if I find any bugs :)

Pretty nice indeed.
Though there might be confusion with the already existing Pathfinder behavior, maybe have a different name to prevent confusions. (Maybe a shorter one too, like "PF" to have expressions like "Sprite.PF.Whatever" which would be even nicer).

This behavior will surely take over the old one though, it appears to work far better. Good job, looking forward to see it released.Kyatric2012-04-05 14:32:53

Very cool. I've found though that it starts wandering in the wrong direction if, upon starting the example, you left click where the word 'object' is in the example image Fimbul posted above, the square will move in a direction in a path it can't take before moving back and taking the right path.

Thanks. I was wondering where those bugs were. I just integrated a good open source astar script into a plugin. Few changes so far added cost weighting and an open source bit array script. works very well on iPhone 5. The plugin is called astar and the behavior is "pathfinder"

Thanks this is to do with the heuristic I think. Added a square root should make it better.

Here is a demonstration of the costing feature. The blue is lower than the dark green but they aren't blocked so the blip will move there. The blip will just try to avoid if possible very simple but great for AI. Combine this with rexrainbow's MoveTo behavior and it will be great!
