I would also love this feature! thanks for the plugin, such a smoother cam :)    How would I offset the camera now using a dummy sprite? (newbie)

Hey @linkman2004 any news for the update? :)
Havving some issues with C2 save/load system.

And few additional expression would be nice, like cam x pos, cam y pos etc :)

@shinkan - Yeah, sorry it's been so long, man. I have finals next week, but after that I'll look into working on the specific things you mention. Hopefully I can get something out relatively quickly.

I just started using this plugin, as it does essentially what I was writing in code, but with simpler controls. One small feature that would be useful for me is in the 'Camera Follow' command. Right now you select the Object that you want it to follow, but I actually want to follow an Image Point that is offset from the Object. Can you add an optional 'Image Point' number to this command? Basically like the stock 'Set Position' command. Right now i have to hack in some stuff to check an object that I pin attach to the image point of my character.

Thanks for the awesome plugin! It will make my life a little easier!

Here it is, the first major update in six months. It's mostly just getting things up to speed with recent Construct 2 changes, but it has some minor fixes and additions as well.

Download Magicam Alpha 4 for Construct 2 (Includes example)

(ADD) Support for saving and loading game states through the built in Construct 2 methods. This is a rather complicated feature, so there may still be bugs here.

(ADD) Get X/Y/Zoom expressions.

(ADD) Follow object image point. This is an addition to the standard "Follow object" action. You can specify an image point, and the camera will automatically follow that point. Can take numbers and names.

(FIX) MovementTransitionProgress/ZoomTransitionProgress expressions did nothing and threw errors when used. They now work as intended, by returning a value between 0 and 1 stating the progress of a transition.

As usual, let me know if there are any bugs. Like I stated above, the save and load features are rather complex, so bugs might arise there - that coupled with me not looking at the code base for so long could lead to trouble, so keep an eye out.
