@andreyin
Sorry for the late reply. The saved file should open. Now the file may be a blank image, though. I wasn't able to get the action that copies from the canvas to be reliable all the time.
On another note the load texture from canvas action only loads what's on screen. Or should if it's working

Aah, that might be the problem then.. is there any way I could use this to take a screenshot of the whole layout? I'm trying to map my game and the default screenshot function in C2 doesn't do that, I was hoping this did.

Thanks!!

@andreyin, you could try using paste families to achieve what you want with few events:

paste using families capx

You can play tunes with the resolution etc to get the effect that you want.
I only occasionally visit - I'm learning C# for Unity, but c2 is still a respectable game engine imo....

@andreyin @Colludium
You can use the system:snapshot layout action to do it. Just set the canvas size to the same as the layout, wait a frame for it to update and then save snapshot.

Tested to work here with a 4000x4000 layout.

@R0J0hound @Colludium

Thanks for the help! R0J0's solution works perfectly. I can even name the screenshots to the actual layout I'm in so it will be pretty easy to map out my game. Only thing I had to change was the layout scale before taking the snapshot.

@irina
Not a bug. In C2 events are run top down so both "double tap" conditions are triggered. Fix it by using "else" instead of "double tap" twice.

On double tap
--- dragging = 1
------ do something
--- else
------ do something else

Added a bugfix:
- there was an error if you destroyed a paster object when webgl wasn't available.

Hi there. Firstly, this plugin is so great and really fun to play around with, thank you so, so much for this.

I have a little puzzle though and I was wondering if someone could perhaps help. Is there any way for objects to be pasted in the same z-order as they appear on the layer? I'm playing about with a little top-down / isometric, split screen thing where objects often change position within the z-order when moving about.

I use the following event to determine where they are on the layer: Image

but of course this doesn't translate to the order by which they are pasted.

I hope this makes sense, it's a bit difficult to explain. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions as I'm at my wit's end.
Thank you kindly,
Keep well,
Jack
