Hi all,

Just a quick adaptation of this:

Seed Random

Download here.

(Example in file)

Example here as well (uses 110.2).

Very useful for procedural generation, etc. I haven't checked if this has been done before so sorry if it has.

Regards,

I thought it would have been done already. Thanks Rex. Suppose having a choice doesn't hurt anyone .

I've used both, and seedrandom actually fixes the built in random expression. If you have a bunch of calls to the random expression and you want to give them a seed, then use seedrandom or you will have to replace your system object random expressions with randomplus object expressions.

Great work. Also, that posting seemed pretty rude with the alternative.

Great plugin, I like that it works with all standard C2 actions and expressions.

However, I noticed that the "Use normal random" action is really slow. On fast PC it may be almost instant but on mobile it causes a significant lag (2-3 seconds).

Looking at the source files of the plugin, it seems that "Use normal random" actually generates a truly random string which is then used as a new seed. Building this string for some reason takes a lot of system time.
