Accumulated cost
Sample capx
"Expression:UID2PathCost" could be used to get accumulated cost from start tile to a specific chess/tile in moveable area or moving path after call "Action:Get moveable area" or "Action:Get moving path". Return (-1) if this specific chess/tile is not in the last scan of request.

Update

Add a combo option "Exact" in "Action:Get moving path", "Action:Get moving path by UID". Set it to "nearest" could get moving path to nearest target tile. It will always return a path from start tile to nearest target tile.


BTW, Here is a demo -- Sternhalma (Capx)
- deep green chess is the chess to move
- click any blue tile to put/remove green chess
- yellow tiles are move-able

Is this suitable for RTS game ? Using official pathfinding plugin I'm having trouble implementing steering or avoidance behavior. The moving units always overlapping or colliding with the other units.

Any suggestions please ?

This SLG_movement plugin is suitable for chess game.
The performance of official pathfinding plugin is better then this SLG_movement plugin. You might consider it first, if you need to move on a large map.

Yup. But the problem is that the official plugin does not have steering or avoiding feature. Is it possible that you can take a look at http://www.red3d.com/cwr/steer/ ?

The guy who created c&c in html5 refer to the link above.

Sorry, this plugin dose not control the movement of sprite, it only calculates the moving path in grid based. So it dose not have steering behavior.

Awesome plugin, but I can't get it to work with isometric orientation anymore, orthogonal and staggered still works fine, is this a bug?

Here is a sample of path modes in this plugin.
- click text "Find path" to change the commands: "Find path or "Put obstacle"
- click text "A*" to change the path modes

Path mode = line (dijkstra)

Path mode = diagonal (dijkstra)

Path mode = straight (dijkstra)

Path mode = A*
Image

Path mode = random (dijkstra)
