@RoSecco @rexrainbow : on ipad/iphone (ios in general), the <video> can't work like that. In fact, if you want to launch a video, it's going to display in fullscreen, with the controls of the platform (meaning you can't style them, you can't autoplay the video, and you don't have any info about when it's finished).
Does this mean you cant use the "on ended" event?

I'm also having problems using this plugin when building an Android app. I found a post saying that the video tag is basically broken on Android. But there is a solution here, is it posible to combine/implement this in the plugin?

Or another workaround?

@Smit

I had no experience on using PhoneGap, sorry.
Maybe @Pode has some idea.

It's a Java plugin. So you need to bundle it yourself when you export to Phonegap.

After doing some more research it turns out that the broken video tag is a problem with Webview and only effects older android versions. I've tested this on Android 4.0+ and the video plays correctly.

However autoplay doesnt work, neither does the "on ended" event.

Since I'm targeting android 4.0+ users the problem is solvable Smit2013-03-08 13:23:59

Is there a way to set the video source, so it will be read on android devices after building it as an app? The current way of doing this by using "local storage" doesn't translate to an app on Android devices.
I test the case of "reading video file in exported folder", it work.

You can try by these steps.
1. download test file (movie.ogg) from gonzdevour's link
http://www.w3schools.com/html5/movie.ogg
2. in capx, assign src url to "movie.ogg", then export capx.
3. put movie.ogg downloaded (at step1) into export folder (at step2)
4. open the index.html in exported folder. It works in my testing.
@rexrainbow

I tried these steps but exporting to Node Webkit Desktop export and placed the movie.ogg into the same folder where lies the ".exe". All I get is a black screen. Have you tried this?

I am using the last stable 1.19.

@Jailson

3. put movie.ogg downloaded (at step1) into export folder (at step2)

In Node Webkit Desktop export, it seems to auto pack the export folder, so that you might not do this step success.
My solution is, put video in "file" property at the right side of editor (default). Just like put a text into "file".

But... I'm not sure, this method works wired...

I assume he means that he imports the file into Construct 2 (right click, import files in the bottom right window) but even after importing, this still doesn't work for me offline. Any help would be much appreciated!
