  • Just like to shear something that I stumble upon while searching the net.

    http://www.pokki.com/

I found this cool program called Pokki which is like Google Chrome web app store but different. The different is that it is a html5 web browser thats sits in your toolbar and runs all your apps in real time as you search and play on your computer like a desktop app.

O and 3 more thing, to Ashley and the team, will there be an export plugin for this program. If there will be then this will be a ++ to the construct 2 program.

second thing got my game to run and loaded using the program, but the down fall is that I am still trying to figure out the Pokki program and the SDK.

Last thing I was going to post up a tutorial on how to load your apps into Pokki but keep getting this message when I click "Submit a Tutorial"

  • If you get an error submitting to Pokki you should contact them about the issue.

I've heard of Pokki but we're going to try and get mobile working well first (either AppMobi or PhoneGap) - browser games tend to run pretty well in a browser on desktop, so it makes sense to prioritise the platform that needs the most work first. Also, while Pokki may be cool for some, personally I see a lot more promise in Mozilla's Open Web Apps system which is in the works, and also Chrome Web Store which seems similar and has the might of Google behind it. So we're prioritising those options first. They might also overtake Pokki in the long term so I think it would be wise to wait and see how those things pan out first.

  • Thanks Ashley.

About the error, I got it when I was trying to submit a tutorial on here, not at the Pokki Website. Sorry for the confusion.

  • I look forward to this tutorial. Should be interesting.

  • Fuged is that error when you click to write a tutorial, or after you write it and submit it?

  • Tom I got it after I wrote the tutorial and now every time I try to go and write a new one it keeps showing up when I click the link submit a tutorial.

  • Thank's I'll look into this, and post when it's sorted.

  • Related to Pokki, they are running an HTML5 game contest, with over $30k for first place, and over $50k in total prizes! The deadline is February 20th...so not far off...but still, could be a wonderful chance for someone to break into the game industry in a big way!

  • Tom Thanks.

Braxmule I want to enter but at the mean time I am busy trying to figure out Pokki by messing around and trying to connect CS2 with Pokki, like right click on icon to display other features. If I do get my game that I am working done and usable on all platform before the deadline, I'll enter it.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Fuged, do you mind making it throw this error again please and let me know what time you do it at? I should then get a detailed error report.

ARGH! This was never meant to happen! Many

appologies :( There appears to be a bug.

Rest assured, this has been noted. An extremely angry

email has been dispatched to our web developer.</center>

  • I'm actually working on a project for this contest using Construct 2. Haven't gotten to the part of integrating Construct 2 with Pokki yet though...

  • My tutorial won't be up until Internal Server Error is fixed. until then just hang tight and wait.

  • Fuged, I've found the problem, bit should work now for you, let me know!

  • Tom Thanks so much.
