Anyone tried Pokki ? Pretty nice. I guess it's possible to run c2 games on it.

They're running a competition at the moment. I checked it out but I don't seem to "get" it. It just seems to put a shortcut to a HTML5 app in your task bar.

Yeah. It just provides a custom runtime on desktop for html5 apps. Right now i can't see any real advantage besides organizing your apps, fast access etc. Guess it'll make more sense when desktop apps and web apps fully merge, that i expect is the future.

Well they seem to have borrowed Chrome's browser engine to run the HTML5 apps... I think if Chrome added a feature to pin websites to the task bar, which they could probably do on a whim if they wanted to, that would seem to replace them completely...!

Eheheh exactly. It seems they provide a development api too. Don't know what it's capable of though. I'm still waiting for a html5 framework that will let me do desktop class apps for browsers... Haven't found anything yet :DKiyoshi2011-12-30 00:58:11

Not exactly the same thing but with Chrome you can do something similar:
1) Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.
2) Select Tools.
3) Select Create application shortcuts.
4) In the dialog that appears, choose where you'd like the shortcuts to be placed on your computer.
5) Click Create.

The competition looks good. I think I might throw my hat in if I can get enough time to finish my current game. I'll try setting up Fatal Parsec today as a Pokki app in development and see how it works.
