Possible to record gameplay off browser?

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Sun Aug 12, 2012 8:30 pm

I'm probably going to get flak from asking this, but is there a way I could record the gameplay from the browser without the use of a capture card?

Tried a google search but didn't help much. I've made phenomenal progress on my game and I'd like to upload a video on youtube.

Thanks!

You can use JING, but you can't directly upload them to youtube. You have to upload them the JING service or import them into a program like premiere and then export in a format that works with youtube.

You could try some screen capture software:
http://www.snapfiles.com/software/gmm/videocapture.html
You could then crop the video to only the game screen with some video editing software.

Microsoft Expression Encoder is great. Although free version limits continuous capturing to 10 minute segments.

What blasphemy is this. I thought I was utilizing everything when I discovered it could convert .mov files to other formats.

Yes, and it works pretty well, but the best option is FRAPS, with Aero option enabled in Windows, or you can export now an exe from construct2 and record only the game view.(window)cesisco2012-08-28 09:21:19
