Did you check your collision polygon?
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..

Posting your .capx would enable a much better response from this forums helpful users. It allows us to see exactly what the problem could be.
If your vision so exceeds your ability, then look to something closer.

What I meant was, is it the same for every frame so it won't create an (unexpected) overlap?
Is the collision polygon symetrical, so when you change directions it is not suddenly overlapping?
Do you use a sprite for the movement and one pinned to it for animation?

There is a simple solution for your issue, but without having a look at your capx, we can only give limited advice/answers..

I'm pretty sure, all you have to do is to get your collision-polygon right, or if that's for some reason impossible, use a seperate sprite for the movement behaviour.

have a look at

https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/253/ho ... e-1#tuttop

which explains about using a separate sprite for your player to prevent problems with animation.
