Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • Okay, so I know there are tons of different kinds of art styles and tools to create art, but how do you artists create high quality art and get that good stuff into Construct 2 games?

My current process is creating or using SVG files in Inkscape and exporting them as a PNG. But the end result is usually something fuzzy or jaggy once it gets to Construct 2.

So, how are you guys doing it? What is the best way to get hi-res graphics into my game?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Your exported images are probably too small for your intended use, you should try exporting them in higher quality. Another possibility is that you are scaling them too small, so you could try wider strokes and stuff like that to give them more definition. That way scaling them smaller won't hurt the visual quality so easily.

  • make sure your settings are ok for the type of art you want

sampling - linear for hand draw and point for pixel art

    also pixel rounding ON

and always try to make things 1:1 scale

re scale objects is good but making it 1:1 helps avoid some of this jaggy stuff

  • 1- Do sh*t as big as youre iMac can

    2- Export to desired size.

That way you'll never lose quality.

    Also, use a drawing tablet.
