purpose of html object?

For questions about using Classic.

Is that an actual purpose of the html object, it doesn't even let you select any of the text when you load a file into it, no syntax highlighting, am i missing something??

It would be good if you would be able to load a specific file into a specific place in it. And if you where able to select the text in it at least.

It's not meant to display complete HTML files (Web Browser was meant to, but doesn't work atm). It's like a text object, which can bold, italic various parts of the string, useful for formatted strings basically.

Well in the next version is it possible just to quickly edit the object to allow it to be edited manually like an edit box as well please?

That's not quick to do... I think it serves its purpose OK at the moment. You could try the RTF object?
