Question about free vs paid functionality

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Fri Dec 02, 2011 6:04 pm

Hello,

I am working with the free version of Construct 2 at the moment but I don't see any where I can assign conditions for when an object is clicked or any kind of mouse interaction. Is this added in the pay version and just removed for the free?

Also, will there be a way to add custom javascript in the paid version?

I need to know before I buy but nowhere on the site could I find it go into detail about what exact features are enabled once purchased.

Thanks!

Before you can add mouse conditions and such, you have to add the mouse object to a layout.

About the Javascript, I'm not sure. I think there's a plugin for that actually. Just do a quick search around the plugins forum for it!

Here are the differences between the free and paid versions.Tokinsom2011-12-02 18:17:59

I'd recommend the beginner's guide which covers things like mouse input and other Construct 2 basics.

You can use custom javascript in the Javascript SDK, and lots of plugins have already been made with it.

If you click on the STORE tab then you can see the differcenes between the 3 versions. De free version has no functional limit, but the number of layers and events is restricted. So you can built almost every game you like until you realy want to build great or very complex games.
