To Repro:

1. Open this simple tutorial project (from the first 2 steps of ghost shooter tutorial)

http://www.mediafire.com/?2571yr51p7nwv46

2. Export project

3. Open the exported html in any browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE, all gave same error msg), I'm using xampp apache local server.

notes:
Previewing the project from Construct works fine,
problem only appears once i export the project.Potato2012-03-09 10:19:53

Oops... you can work around this by adding the following javascript to the exported HTML:

function log(str) {}

...or just go back to r80.2 for the time being.

Javascript isn't my strongest area can you be more specific for us noobs?

I tried adding that to the index.html in between some script tags, it still won't work.

Can't go back to 80.2 because 81 has a bug fix that I was waiting for and I'd have to refactor some things.

Thanks!

edit: I got it to work. For other noobs:

1. open the exported index.html in notepad
2. just before the </head> line, add this line:

<script>function log(str) {}</script>

Good luck!Geo2012-03-09 15:45:14

@Geo, you got it, that will do the job. Sorry, won't be necessary any more in next build :)

The strange thing is that when i go back to 80.2 , construct says the project is not able to load due to the fact its being build in a newer version of construct.
So reverting is not an option.
Or im just not doing it correclty?

@Savvy001... there is a way to get around this. If you save your project as a folder, open the project XML and change the version information.
However, this could still not open in r80.2 if you have used any new features!
