[r131] Dropped Image File Behavior Node-webkit

Bugs will be moved here once resolved.

Post » Tue May 21, 2013 7:15 pm

Link to .capx file (required!):
No needed, use blank template

Steps to reproduce:
1. Export to Node-webkit
2. Drag an image file to drop inside of node-webkit app

Observed result:
When it's dropped it appears an resized image to entire window. It seems unacceptable behavior we didn't add any event. This app has 0 events.

Expected result:
It shouldn't do anything until we implement:

Browsers affected:
Chrome: yes/no
Firefox: yes/no
Internet Explorer: yes/no

Operating system & service pack: Windows 8 Pro 64 bits

Construct 2 version: 131

I can confirm this.
This is kinda entertaining for me, I'm throwing all sorts of stuff onto the NodeWebkit window like MP3's and stuff :P

I can't reproduce this, in r132 on Windows 8 64-bit dragging in a PNG file appears to correctly trigger 'On file dropped'. Can you share your .capx and the exact image file you are dragging in?

I made a change to try and avoid the default behavior in the next build anyway, that might help.

@Ashley The .capx is simply blank.

Maybe You didn't understand. Just export node-webkit with zero events and zero plugins.

Also the behavior is still active in r132

@Ashley Report again, it's using r138.2 version

In preview mode, it disables drag and drop.

In exported mode, it's active bug without events.

@Joannesalfa - I can't reproduce any problem dragging a .png in to an empty project exported with node-webkit in r138.2

What's wrong you couldn't reproduce this bug?

That's exactly what I did, and it didn't reproduce. Are you sure you are using 138.2? Can you send me the exact file you dragged in to the window?

That's really weird, the dragged file is common .PNG, every .PNG.

Let me to test on other computers.
