    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Run the above event

    2.

    3.

I tried making an simple version of this to duplicate, but it seemed to work right in the new one I created. Not sure what could be causing this or if it is my fault somehow. This worked fine a week or two ago.

Edit: I also tried moving everything around and using Pick Instance UID, this also failed.

    Observed result:

System catches mouse click and validates teleport button IS OPEN

System validates button Floor =1 and executes the animation.

System stops executing the function here.

Never Reaches the area "Teleporter     Floor=1" condition. That code is never executed even when there is a teleporter with type=1.

    Expected result:

System finds the teleporter with floor=1 and moves character.

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: yes

    Firefox: yes

    Internet Explorer: ye

Operating system & service pack:Win8 Latest

  • If it worked in the new capx, it would seem something is different. Is Floor actually set to 1 on the teleporterButton, is Floor set on the Teleporter, and Open as well, Is this whole event in another event that the test wasn't? (not ever executing)

(sometimes when someone asks, something missing suddenly shows up)

  • Closing, we need a .capx. Looking at your events, it would appear that there are simply no 'Teleporter' objects that have a Floor variable equal to 1.

  • I know it's strange, I've been using C2 for a year now, so I know what to check in situations like this.

I know it sounds like my fault, but check out the object.

  • Make a new topic in the "How do I" forum and provide the capx.

Since you can't reproduce in a new/stripped down project it seems it is definitely something you overlooked in your project, and without the actual capx, no way to help you correct it.

  • Yes, this is most likely a mistake in your events, especially if you cannot reproduce it in a new empty project. This is why we always ask for new empty projects which demonstrate just the issue by itself.
