Hi Yann,

I recently downloaded your rope capx file.

First of all, I'll like to thank you for sharing your know how.

However, there is something I don't quite understand. What is the purpose of the "Cooldown" Variable for the Player sprite?

What do you need the rope for? If it's something simple, you could just use sprites.

I know this is an old thread but when you move the anchor quickly in the example capz, it goes nuts, is there a way to stop this? Or does anyone know the cause?

@kenthira - You could clamp the velocity of the physics object each tick, so it never went above a certain speed.


I had a related question - I'm trying to spawn rope-like objects at certain angles, but when you create the joints, the objects are not orientated correctly.

It seems to work on your example - I want to have a force at the end of the rope, so a tentacle like object will reach out towards a position. Is it that creating the joints on spawning is causing this?
