Really serious problem here...

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Mon Jan 02, 2012 12:06 pm

Im creating a very simple game. The game consist in a plane like 1945 game. My problem is that I created the fist wave of attack with one enemy. When you kill some enemy the next wave will attack, but I dont want to reprogram all actions to the new enemy.. So I test the collision with the ship and with the ship fire with one enemy, but if I have ten enemy I have reprogram all?? Its really annoying... How can I do this without have to reprogram and test all ten (or more) enemys?
Be nice with others and with yourself!

You have several solutions :
A/ Wait for the family features that should be in r75 (or a next release)
B/ Make your enemy a single object with several frames/animations. Then depending on the animation playing ([url=http://www.scirra.com/manual/115/sprite]Sprite condition "is playing") you set a different bunch of actions.
This solution works as you only create one event "on collision" and then have different subevents according to the enemy type you're dealing with.
