Realtime when app is closed

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Thu Aug 22, 2013 2:17 pm

Hello!

I am wondering if it's possible to script some events so that it takes into account real time when an app is closed on mobile etc. Usually the events are based on tick when app is running. If so, what are the main events/actions for this?

Thanks

Construct2 doesn't have an expression for it itself, but:

You could use this plugin
I told my dentist I had trouble with my teeth and asked her to fix it without looking in my mouth..

Interesting but I don't see how this plugin solves that issue. If I restart an app it's going to restart all timers.

You could set it up as a global variable, save it with webstorage and compare it when restarting the app. That way you'll know how much real time has past.

There's no way to compare with Date though from what I can see. You can't say 'OnTimer"X"' and compare the current time of Date with anything.

In later posts in the topic I linked are some people asking what seems to be the same question and getting answers. But maybe I'm misunderstanding your question.
