recommendation for movie

i want to have some video sequences in my game. i tried to make an animated sprite, but it is loading long time... what do you thing is best solution for playing videos? what about "avi" - works it ok, or is it buggy? and what do you thing is best solution for compression (which codec?)

Never used the AVI object, but it should work fine I think. Since I don't know of any other video formats that CC plays, I'd recomend using AVI (which is by default uncompressed).

From my very little tests with the avi object, I can confirm that it works, and that there is only one format supported (at least avi containers didn't work for me), and that's the primary avi uncompressed (don't know the exact name).

But, the avi object just shows an avi player with all transport elements visible. If you don't want that, you need to use python. There is a solution from ROJOhound somewhere on the forums.
