Reflection Rendering

Simple method of rendering a reflection by drawing everything onto a canvas then flipping the canvas.

I used a separate layer so I could erase the top part of the reflection in such a way that objects under the water can be seen if they are close to the surface, also added some 'tinting' gradients to make the reflection cool, and gave the reflection itself a 'soften' effect.

Wow, that looks fantastic! Though, would it be possible for stuff to be visible under the water rather than completely disappear?

Awesome as always David!
BTW I applied Warp layer fx to the reflection, and it looks great. Might be better with a ripple type of shader... hint, hint to who ever whats to give that a try.

Just add a layer fx to the Reflection layer.

Sorry to bump but I can't see anything in the OP? I'm looking for an effect that will create a reflection of whatever is above it (to apply onto a water surface sprite).
