[Req] Setting default animation speed

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Sun Aug 31, 2014 6:15 pm

I have a request for new update.
Could you include option to set global default animation speed for animations?
When I create games 90% of my sprite animations are set to 0. Since default is 5 its real pain to change them especially in bigger games and unnecessary waste of time.

Could you provide option in setting to set a default?

Thanks!

+1, not quite sure why default is 5... I hardly ever use animations, and if I do I set it through events. Additionally, I'd imagine most of the time you'd want to tweak the speed to your suiting so 0 as default would make sense?

The ability to change the default value would effectively be nice. For characters, an animator would pretty much never use a value below 6 (run cycles in 3 frames, 2 steps per second), and most of the time you'll want to work at 10-12 FPS. 0 would be a nice decent default value for everything UI related as well. +1

Good suggestion! +1
Make the setting reachable in "preference" instead of defaulting it in new release, so that the beginner won't think the animation doesn't work. This feature will be helpful to non-beginner users with big projects!
