  • Hey Guys

I just found the ZOOM Option within the editor which is very helpfull, especially for me, since my eyesight is going down rappidly.

I would like to ask, that the zoom is also applied to the additional windows/dialogs, that pop up while useing c2.

  • Zoom can be accessed by Ctrl+Mousewheel or the View ribbon tab. Where else do you think we should add the option?

  • I think what weishaupt means is that you can zoom in the event sheet but the dialogs (like expressions, objects, actions window, etc...) size isn't changed.

I guess he'd like the zoom factor to be applied to those windows/dialogs as well.

  • Doesn't Windows have some options that can help such as increasing font size for all windows etc?

  • Kyatric - once again, you are right on the point <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

zenox - that would effect ALL windows, ie. other programms as well, and that's what I do NOT want

  • Dear Ashley,

Would you please give a coder's assessment about if all the conditions windows and parameters windows font sizes for example

    Parameters for System, then

The HELP text under window title bar,

the parameter input field for First value

    Comparison

    Second Value

could be enlarged? So we could see better what we type in?

A section in preferences would be a godsend:

Add Event & Add Action window font: Tahoma size: 14pt

Parameters Window & input field font Tahoma size: 14pt

    Thank You!

  • Bumpity bump..

Would you be so kind, Dear Ashley, and add bigger fonts in

    ADD EVENT window

    PARAMETERS FOR SYSTEM windows?

They appear windows-system themed with smallest font, that older developers can't see much.

It would make possible for us to code with bigger enthusiasm and even increase the chance to get great ideas.

Make us happy so we can make you happy with GREAT Super-Eyecandy Construct 2 GAMES !!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

  • mercy do you mean the list of all actions, conditions and expressions, or the text around the dialogs? The first is easy to change, but the second isn't.

  • The text around the dialogs where you put math formulas in.

    For example:

"Parameters for system: Set layer angle"

    Layer: 0

    Angle: 0

This is where the brain racking goes on, trying to think with a hammer, what to put in there. Can the parameter edit dialogs be changed to a similar format the Event Sheet has?

  • It's surprisingly difficult to change dialog text, because it's all at hard coded sizes and Windows doesn't really support zooming dialogs (which sucks). However, content windows, like the list of actions, conditions and expressions, and the edit boxes where you type in parameters, can be resized easily... does that sound like it would be enough?

That sounds very good. Can I expect it in the next releases? I really want to get started on the first episode of my RPG. The graphics is likely going to be you liked in that isometric game with tall house blocks: you were saying something along the lines of "Why is there no game being made like this for C2?"

  • I can now CTRL+Zoom the text typed into the parameters window entry field. Little awkward, but much better than having to stare at the default small fonts. Thank You!

  • I use a projector often, so I also would like the ability to increse the font size across every part of C2. While the new CTRL+mousewheel is a step forward, it's awkward because it doesn't increase the size of the field window, so it ends up obscuring the bottom part of the expression, has to be done for each field, the size isn't remembered so it has to be done each time, and it doesn't affect any of the other parts of the windows, like the text for object names in the wizard and expressions list, or the explanations of what things do - not to mention I often use alternative input devices so I would have to switch back to the mouse every time.

It's a start though, so I second the thanks!

  • Again please so many parts of Construct 2 was renewed /rewritten and one of our first jobs in making a new game is to write a WINDOW SYSTEM for input/output:

Could the Scirra team scratch that old windows-system style windows and write completely new BIG graphical windows with BIG fonts to serve as wonderful system parameters and add/select variable in Event Sheet section?

Enlarging those "system" variables icons and texts too like Keyboard, mouse, Every Tick, compare opacity, etc...

    Thank You very much!!

  • I tried Right Click on Desktop select Appearance and Advanced Settings and managed to get every font increased by 1, but Add Event fonts in Construct 2 remain tiny.
