[Request] Lock orientation

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Could we possibly get a way to lock the orientation on mobiles?
I know you can do it on intel, and perhaps coccon, but we need something for the other systems like Firefox, or Tizen.

It is indeed a bit weird that we have to rely on third-party programs/wrappers to be able to set orientation.

One thing to consider however is that non-CocoonJS performance is so bad on Mobiles/Tables that I don't see why you'd even want to run anything through Firefox/Chrome.

There is not yet a standardised way to lock orientation. There is a spec that is being worked on, but AFAIK no browsers currently support it, so it's not possible to orientation lock in the browser. However most other export options like CocoonJS, Windows Phone 8, Phonegap etc. provide an orientation lock option at some point in the publishing process.
