Request: Project properties... in Layout properties

Post » Thu Mar 30, 2017 10:45 pm

Right now to view the project properties you have to click in the layout then click "view" in the properties menu.
Can't we just put that all in one since the menu can scroll?
It seems like to many extra steps to get to the parts that get adjusted more than the parent.

Agreed. You could just make it collapsible or something. I'm always switching between the two.

You can also just click the project item in the project bar.

I don't want to confuse layout properties and project properties, because they are different: a project has multiple layouts but only one set of project properties. Displaying them together might look like you can set things like a viewport per layout when that's not the case.

This would have been helpful, but I can see the reason for it's exclusion.

Following off of this - can we have an "Inherit Viewport" setting for layout and margin dimensions? The most annoying part of starting a new project is all the fiddling (10s of seconds!) between the project and layout menus.

Small request, would make my day.
