[RESOLVED]sliderbars for settings

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Tue Mar 01, 2016 9:06 pm

Hey all,

I've made a slider bar for settings and last night, before going to sleep, I started working on a local storage function that would remember the slider position and the global variable value it would alter.
I was wondering if this is the best way to approach this though. Is there an easier way to accomplish these settings being remembered or am I on the right track here?

Thanks!

You could consider using an array loaded with AJAX and .json files
Zelda Gamekit (my project)

Example capxs:

Zelda-Style Inventory

Zelda Health

3-saveslot system

Okay! Figured it out! I'm going to leave a link to my capx for anyone that would like a look. I know that arrays and these storage modules aren't my forte (yet), so hopefully the capx can be helpful to someone else who's in the same boat.

And definitely thanks to @LaDestitute for taking time out to teach me about AJAX and some of the nuances of the built in save system! Very kind of you!

Here's the capx I came up with:
