retro resolution

Get help using Construct 2

Post » Wed Oct 16, 2013 10:08 pm

how can I create a sprite so that it appears that I am working with a very low resolution system....like the old Atari 2600 games...that had screen res of like 10dpi or something...

so if I have an object that is a line and it rotates so that it is not horizontal of vertical, it gives the extremely aliased step like appearance? Ive taken a look at the retro game example in the bundle but don't see how that's working....

Thanks
Dan

I think you'll have to do that with animation and not "actual movement". there might be a webgl effects that might aid in that appearance as well.Kcpunk6662013-10-16 23:08:52

In project properties set Sampling to Point, and make sure Enable WebGL is on.
Next Add the WebGL effect Pixellate to the layer you have your "line" object on. tweak the size property until you get the desired effect.
That should do it.
