Ride on Moving Solid Blocks

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Hi,

you got any idea to get a player kind of riding on a moving solid element in x and y direction?

Here's the beta, i think its self explaining.

rider

the automatic movement would also fix the bug of falling from the side when the block moves up.

thanks xeed

I wish I could help you. But I had a play of the game. It's looking good.

The platform movement doesn't work with moving platforms yet - I'll try to fix it for the next build.

Are you sure you mean to add both the 8 direction movement (which works as if it's top-down view) *and* the platform movement (which works as if it's side view) to the same object? They won't work well together because they're for different views!

@stufa: thanks i want to implement it on a little homepage as a top banner. but there will be nothing more, but bugfixes and maybe physics. just for fun.

@Ashley: no, i did not know platform behaviour brings its own movement with it. great information, like always

Mind you, I managed to stay on the platforms some times. I got a little way through the level.

Just a heads up, moving platforms and slopes work for the platform movement in the next build now!
