R.I.P Mochi Media ... hang onto your hats!

Ideas and discussion about publishing and distributing your games

Post » Sat Mar 15, 2014 9:58 pm

Mochi Media announced today they will cease all service and go dark 31 Mar 2014. Just four years ago Mochi Media was purchased by Shanda Games (Chinese) for $80 million; see this blog article.

What does that mean for Scirra and Construct2? Mochi Media had 40,000 flash game developer members who published over 150,000 games with 1.4 millions views every month. Now that Mochi is dead (rest in peace), where will those game developer go? Where else .... to html5 and hopefully Scirra.

What is your opinions?

Flash would be big on mobile, because flash is the bi-word of cheap quality 2 minute games.
