Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Post » Tue Jan 17, 2012 10:26 pm

I am a wee bit dumb and stupid, but may I know where I can find this (for now) elusive Rotate Layer/Layout?
I just started my effort, and I'm missing this key item.

@eyeliner: Layout - Layer

And the rotation of either the layout or a layer is achieved via system actions (section "Layers & transforms").

OUCH

I allready took out all big animations and speachfiles, but today I once more reached the 10 MB limit.

Are there any tips on how to reduce the CAPX size?

size of the images counts a lot, try to use images with less than 50 dpi for animated sprites
try reuse things for maps/level
number of character animations, try to take less frames as possible
sound effects count too

@Weishaupt

Other than reducing your code (eww)

Have you made sure that all of your images are in the smallest format they can be in? http://www.scirra.com/blog/66/image-compression-in-construct-2

(Im assuming you have :p)
