Hey!

I want to share some picture from a RTS game I am currently working on.

However I am having struggle with unit control. My units are quite rough to handle and the path finding is a bit sketchy :/

Here is some pictures of my current progress!

Path finding in C2 is rough (I'm not a fan of the default behavior) but there are some work arounds. You can use the pathfind behavior on an invisible square to set waypoints, then you can use bullet behavior or move to to tell units to follow the waypoints.

Just one option of many.

There's a movement template called isobones that might help in the scirra store as well.

I wouldn't use the default pathfinding behaviour either, instead set your game up on a grid and use rex's third party plugin.

Perhaps @rexrainbow can direct you to the correct plugin. He's prolific and all his plugins have strange names, probably because he's not english. I don't have time to search the forums for the correct one and the example he posted, it was some time ago.

Here's his web address though. http://c2rexplugins.weebly.com

@Ethan

Uh, slg-movement is designed for turn-based board game, or simulation game initially.
The performance of slg-movement is poor than official path finding behavior, and official path finding behavior is more suitable for RTS game I thought.

"SLG" is strange I agree, hah. But it is too late to change the name. :cry:
