s plugin example cap

For questions about using Classic.

Hey,

I tried to look in an example .cap from lucid but it crashed (after run layout).
I reproduced it event by event, and it didn't crashed immediately but if I collected that item.

Is there a logical error or are they just incompatibilities(google gave me that word xD) between my construct version now? I use r2.

direct link to his cap http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1013446/s/objecttypetutorial.cap

You'll need the s plugin, but I think, that ones, who could help me with that problem will have it installed anyway.

Thank you.

edit: tried another .cap , even installed construct 99.84(stable) but unsuccesfully. zyblade2012-05-14 09:43:19

Could someone else tell, whether it runs fine or crashes also?

Maybe you must to paste the S plugin to the CC intall folder, you already try that? thats sometimes happens to me with a plugin folder when it is missing on the install folder of CC, no matter if is r1.2 or r2...

EDIT: check all plugins used into the .cap are properly installed. And remember if you have open CC when installing new plugins must close it and restart it again, to change take effect.Yaottabyte2012-05-15 16:02:51

That's a simple example .cap, only the s plugin is used, bsides the bullet plugin that anyway works. I already installed 3 different versions of "S", very old, outdated and the newest one. Everytime crashes.

Does the .cap work for you?

Use this version of S:
http://www.scirra.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=38456&PID=232780&title=s-update-as-of-4-12-11#232780
and the example works without crashing.

[quote=lucid]hmmm. I know this is messy, but for now, you have to download the versions you see on each page as you go through the tuts
I never updated them all to work with the latest version
