Samsung and 100% Indie

Discussion and feedback on Construct 2

Hello @Ashley and @ludei

I would like know if is possible to have a exporter plugin exclusively to this new Market?

I was contacted by Aaron about my last game (Commercial), where I'm selling it on Google Market using the CocoonJS?

Did Samsung accept your app btw? I heard CocoonJS doesn't fair well for it due to blinking logo and long load times..

I am trying now with Crosswalk since I got an invite from 100% Indie program.

I was contacted a while back, and haven't been waiting to submit my game until there is a good solution for C2...

Samsung Apps allows only ads from their own network,
and C2 does not support their SDK,
so as for now you can only put:
- free app without any ads
- paid app

Yup its not a problem for me, mine is just simple Paid ap. No Ads or IAPs.. gonna move away from that and stick to what I believe, as a gamer, Ads piss me off.

Just hope Crosswalk pass the QA.

Well my Ninja Legacy passed Samsung QA, no issues at all. Seems the current sound bugs only occur in Nexus devices.

Crosswalk is great!

Its impossible to pass the samsung tests with cocoonjs, i tried several times with Aaron too (nice guy) but never passed it, mainly because when you minimize the game with cocoonJS you cant back to the same point of the game a lot of times. With crosswalk i don't tried.

Yup, Crosswalk doesn't have glaring issues that CocoonJS does, namely, much better memory management so Apps can suspend and resume. Even if your phone rings while playing, it will resume afterwards. On CJS it would crash and lock up your phone requiring a reboot.

That and it works on much more devices (due to less required ram!) with proper resolution scaling.

As soon as Crosswalk support AdMob, it will be the goto for Android porting for most people.
