Thanks to Construct2 we (my brother and I) just release our first game in the Google Play Store.

Image

Story:
In the game you are the last surviving samurai of a small village. An enemy army is attacking, so you decide to sacrifice yourself by guarding the village's gate as long as you can.

Gameplay:
We tried to keep the controls as simple as possible. You basically just touch were you want your samurai to go. While running your character is invincable and kills every enemy in his line. By killing enemies you get points, killing multiple enemies in a row will give extra points. There are five different enemy types (basically three & two with higher move speeds) and 10 waves of enemies. There is no way to actually win the game, you just play until your character dies.

Goal:
As you can't actually survive you try to get as many points as possible.

Our plans:
Your score will be send to our server, additionally we track how and where you died. No personal information is stored though, just game related stuff. We might use this to add a ranking system or something like that. Also we might add more enemy types, more attack skills and stuff like that.

We would really like to know what you think about the game.
So if you like it, let us know. If you don't like it, let us know why. ;)

Have fun, Chris.

It's very polished and professional.

Cool idea on the endless game genre. Art and sound are well done.

Control is easy, but i noticed sometimes there's a slight pause between changing directions.

I gave you a 5 star, keep up the great work!

This is really nice of you. I posted a link to your review on our facebook page. :)

And you are right, the controls are somewhat hard to guess, if you are not familiar with them.
I think we will add a tutorial in the next version.

We just released version 1.1.0 of Samurai Standoff.

The new version contains:
- A ranking system. You will now compete against players from around the world.
- A howto section where you can learn how to play the game.
- Also we redesigned parts of the menu.

Check it out. It's still free.

We just released version 1.2.0 of the game. The new version improves overall performance and drastically reduces memory usage. Also we did some minor bugfixes.
